I’m a specialized Nurse in critical care unit and nursing for Elderly, a life coach certified by the International Coaching Council, and an accredited NLP Trainer. I currently hold the position of manager of an intensive care unit at a hospital in Beirut and I work as a consult-ant and project manager for a long term care center for the Elderly.

I provide coaching sessions for Elderly caregivers, in order to help and guide them in taking the most appropriate care and decisions that take into account the physical, mental and psychological wellbeing of the patient as well as the ethics of implementing treatment. My guidance encompasses any family who is responsible for the care of an Elderly member, especially cases of dementia and dependent Elderly. More importantly, and throughout the past few years, I have closely studied the human being from numerous perspectives and aspects including religion, medical, mental, psychological and spiritual. I became highly invested in studying how to care for patients while applying a Holistic approach.

I have immense passion for my career. I always keep my patients involved in the plan of care, provide them with educational information pertaining to their case or illness, and most importantly strive to make them feel safe while mentally equipping them with the right tools to fight their illness. My aim is to plant hope and comfort in all the patients I work with by focusing on 3 important pillars: physical, spiritual and mental. A lot of spiritual and religious issues affect the decision making process of families and individuals when it comes to health; and my duty is, with passion and purpose, to create the most comfortable and safe environment for my patients that acknowledges their psychological, spiritual and mental state. I am currently completing my masters thesis on how to implement coaching approaches in advanced care planning, which is the topic I care about and wish to focus on the most in my work.

I also volunteer and conduct community activities with the elderly in Saida, within the municipality, to raise awareness on physical and spiritual health. One of my goals is to conduct health coaching in the plan of care and to promote it among healthcare professionals, to allow the healthcare sector in Lebanon and across the Arab region to better serve our communities in the best and most humane way possible.
